Today is First Friday, aka local arts night in San Antonio. There was a large exhibit by the Blue Star tonight with sculptures made from bricks and leftover construction materials. Once again, this is not something I would look at and think wow, that is art. But that is what’s so cool about First Friday – anything goes.

As I was cleaning up the kitchen tonight, I was organizing things into piles. This goes here…this stuff should go there… and I promise that this particular, pile which ended up on the end of the kitchen island, was not intentional. It just so happens that three of most favorite things {Clash, coffee, and my camera} all ended up representing each other in the most perfect way. I smiled and just had to make this my photo of the day. These are three things that I never seem to put away in a place where they belong, because they travel with me everywhere. Well, I don’t actually take the milk frother anywhere, but you know what I mean. But the Clash and my camera – they do go with me, EVERYWHERE.

This isn’t the best picture I’ve taken (too bad I cut off the top of Halli’s head), but I love how she is reaching for Major. She was totally enamored with the dogs when she came over to see us on Sunday, and all she wanted to do was just touch his fur. Until he moved. Then she wasn’t so sure anymore
